Additional Services
Overnight Care (By Request Only)
Overnight care may be available upon request for clients needing additional support.
Availability and pricing are discussed during the care assessment to ensure we meet the client’s needs safely and appropriately.
Holiday Care
Holiday Rate (All Hours): $45 per hour
Holiday care is offered at a premium rate to honor caregivers serving families during major holidays.
Applicable holidays include:
New Year’s Eve • New Year’s Day • Easter • Memorial Day • Fourth of July • Labor Day • Thanksgiving • Christmas Eve • Christmas Day
Extended & Specialized Care
24-Hour Care
May be available for clients needing continual support. Rates are determined based on level of care, caregiver needs, and daily structure.
Double or Long Shifts
Standard hourly rates apply unless otherwise discussed.
Additional Policies
• Minimum Shift: 3 hours per visit
• Mileage for Outings: Billed at the current IRS rate
• Customized Care Plans: Rates may vary based on specific care needs or additional responsibilities
• Payment Options: Private pay, debit/credit cards, long-term care insurance, and Medicaid Home Help (if eligible)
MICHIGAN MEDICAID HOME HELP (If Eligible)
Michigan Home Help Program
Ohana Home Care Agency is able to provide services through the Michigan Medicaid Home Help Program for clients who qualify.
Home Help may cover services such as:
• Personal care assistance
• Mobility support & supervision
• Meal preparation
• Light housekeeping
• Laundry assistance
• Other approved tasks listed on your MDHHS care plan
Important:
Home Help rates are set by the State of Michigan.
Approved hours depend on the client’s assessment and MDHHS authorization.
Support With the Process
We help clients and families by:
• Explaining the Home Help application process
• Connecting you with your local MDHHS office
• Coordinating care after approval
• Ensuring your caregiver follows the state-approved care plan
Clients may also combine private pay hours with Home Help hours to create a full, customized schedule.
