 To qualify, you must:

• Have active Medicaid, and
• Require physical assistance with at least one activity of daily living (ADL), such as bathing, dressing, eating, or moving around your home.

Even if your income is higher than the usual Medicaid limit, you may still qualify if you have personal care needs.

The Home Help Program may pay for assistance with:

• Eating or feeding
• Bathing
• Dressing and grooming
• Mobility and transferring
• Using the toilet
• Medication assistance
• Laundry and light housework
• Meal preparation and clean-up
• Shopping for essentials
• Travel for shopping or laundry

 Home Help does not cover:

• Heavy housework
• Home repairs
• Supervision or reminders
• Transportation
• Yard work

Yes! In many cases, family members can be approved and trained to provide care through the Home Help Program. This helps keep care within the family while still providing financial and professional support.
